Meet Our Faculty
Mike Etuhoko

Mike Etuhoko is the Founder and Executive Chair of Protekz Institute. He brings more than three decades of global energy leadership across technical execution, well engineering and integrity, enterprise transformation, governance and leadership development.
His career was built in technically demanding, high-consequence environments where safety, integrity, production continuity and capital stewardship were inseparable from leadership effectiveness. He has led complex well engineering, completion, intervention and integrity programmes across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, including HPHT, offshore and high-complexity asset environments.
He is a 2025–26 Society of Petroleum Engineers Distinguished Lecturer on transformational leadership and the energy transition. His work connects technical reality with leadership judgment, governance discipline and the institutional capability required to convert strategy into performance.
In parallel with the Institute, Mike advises CEOs, boards and executive teams through Protekz Inc. on decision quality, governance, enterprise value, transition complexity and responsible AI.
Professor Lokesh Vij

Lokesh Vij is a technologist and academic leader specializing in cloud infrastructure, generative AI architectures, and database engineering. He bridges the gap between enterprise-scale engineering and cutting-edge research.
Currently, as a Senior R&D Software Engineer with a leading cybersecurity organization, Lokesh architects and manages high-volume, mission-critical database workloads within the email security domain. His industry expertise spans distributed SQL systems, cloud service models across AWS and GCP, and advanced DevOps automation frameworks.
In academia, Lokesh serves as a Professor of Cloud Computing and the MSc Program Manager at the Open Institute of Technology (OPIT), where he designs technical curriculum and supervises capstone projects. He is also pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) specializing in Emerging Technologies and AI at Golden Gate University. His current research focuses on building trusted, autonomous data pipelines utilizing Large Language Model (LLM) agents, graph engineering, and formal validation loops. He has also served as a guest speaker on emerging technologies for global platforms, including the United Nations ITCILO.
Professor Abidemi Akinloye

Abidemi Akinloye, CPA, is an experienced instructor and provides business advisory services specializing in strategic management and organizational development.
He serves as a trusted advisor to executives, offering perspectives on strategy execution, operational effectiveness, governance and business performance. His research explores strategic, innovative approaches to advancing sustainable organizational success.
He combines academic rigour with professional expertise to foster meaningful learning and support effective leadership.

Anthony Kunle Ogunkoya

Anthony Kunle Ogunkoya is a senior energy executive and board advisor with more than 44 years of experience across the upstream oil and gas industry, spanning international operators, oilfield services, exploration and production, and offshore operations across West Africa, Central Africa, and the North Sea.
His career includes leadership and technical roles with Gulf Oil Company, Elf Nigeria, Elf Angola, Elf Caledonia, and Schlumberger Oilfield Services. This breadth of experience has given him a deep understanding of complex operating environments, industry partnerships, technical delivery, and the strategic issues shaping the energy sector.
Anthony has extensive governance experience. He served on the Board of the Society of Petroleum Engineers International as Africa Regional Director from 2012 to 2015 and subsequently served on the boards of Petro Congo SA, Congo Exploration and Production Company, and Congo Oilfield Services from 2014 to 2025.
He is a Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a recipient of the SPE International Distinguished Service Award and Public Service Award, recognising his sustained contribution to the profession and the wider energy industry.
Anthony holds an MSc in Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, following his earlier studies at the Petroleum Training Institute in Warri, Nigeria.
He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of ABFO Strategic Investments Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria. As an Advisory Board member, he brings extensive industry experience, board-level perspective, international relationships, and practical insight into energy-sector leadership, investment, and strategic growth.
